Floating bobbins are the beating heart of any true 2-piece brake rotor. They mechanically connect the outer iron rotor ring to the inner aluminum hat while allowing the ring to expand and contract freely under extreme heat — exactly how a race-grade brake system is supposed to work.

Our 9mm floating bobbin kit is precision-CNC machined from high-strength stainless steel, then finished with a zinc-aluminum flake coating for long-term corrosion protection against brake dust, road salt, moisture, and heat cycling.

Each kit is drop-in compatible with SpecWorks 2-piece rotors using the 9mm bobbin spec, and includes everything needed for a complete rebuild or refresh.
